call to action

A Digital Future for Queensland now

Helping our regions harness, employ and engage with new media is the vital key to a sustainable future.

A new way of looking at digital media

The use of digital media in regional Australia is about to change forever as regional communities across Queensland embrace the Queensland State Government’s GoDigitalQld – Queensland Digital Economy Strategy and Action Plan.

keep-it-localAn integral aspect of this plan is the need to encourage community buy in, so that any solution offered to the community becomes theirs – a known and embraced place for them in the digital domain.

There needs to be an ‘aha’ moment when they see what it can do it for them and their communities.

TouchPoint Media has spent the past two years talking to and working with Councils, businesses and community groups throughout regional Queensland to get this understanding.

As a result of this research and through ongoing dialogue with The Queensland State Government, the first Our Town Plus More Online Business and Community hubs are now being built. The first four regions to take advantage of this unique system are Goondiwindi, Murweh, Charters Towers and The Whitsundays.

We expect to launch each of these in November 2014.

It’s a completely new way of looking at digital media with everything in the one place from audio visual news, local jobs, events, interactive business pages, procurement systems, community pages, tourism, retail deals and local information… plus more.
